There is nothing like putting those shots to any sort of commercial test, e.g. even just by submitting them to a photo agency, to bring a sense of reality though!
It would be interesting to see how the photos of out-of-focus blue tits, with 100+ votes, fared! 
I like how this group forces you to spend longer looking at both the picture and think how you might have taken it. This is i think one of the best learning areas on epZ.
I particularly like reading other peoples comments and seeing how they vary from my own ideas for the shot.
I like that as long as you explain why you don't like it you can be quick and to the point, not wrapping up comments in cotton wool
I think this group is also great for our "disapointing response photos" as it might help us pick up on an area we missed, or just help realise the viewing audiance is transient and varied.
Sometimes i feel i'm missing out on the normal critique required uploads, but then i remember how often these can upset people if you don't spend long enough with the cotton wool wrapping.

Much the same I should imagine, certainly better than the sort of bird pics I put up
