Are you thinking of the tree above Malham...If you are then drive into Malham and find the Lister Arms, have the pub on your left as you pass then take the next rd on your left(not the Youth Hostel one) drive up for about 2 miles and you will see it on your right...there is a small lay by just after it.
Hope that helps.

I'd have thought it pretty easy to locate by the tripod holes worn deep into the limestone by generation after countless generation of photographers who can't think of anywhere more original to take photographs Smile

Now be fair Dave. We haven't had a photo of that tree on here for at least 3 weeks. Wink

I have links from the Twisleton Scar shots on my website to map locations (follow the 'location map' links under the pictures), e.g.

this twisleton scar shot links to location here

Just be aware that one of my favourite trees there has been dropping branches for years so it's not quite what it was. There's plenty more to explore though.

So where do you park for it? Kingsdale or can you get up near Twisleton Near Barn?

I've never tried to drive up to Twisleton Near Barn but I've parked on the minor road to the south west of that before near where the track from Twisleton Near Barn meets it (that road's pretty narrow so out of respect for other road users you need to be careful not to block passing places). Kingsdale's possible too - again, it just needs a bit of care and common sense.
