The Gabriel years were the best imo. When Gabriel and then Hackett left, Genesis turned into a pantomime.... plus Phil Collin's voice irritates me.

    Any one for Val Doonican?

Too late, I already ducked. Tongue

They were great, but genesis still made some great music when Phil took over

I have often held the general public in contempt, when I've seen programmes doing the 100 best ever pop/rock songs, or similar,
as the memory of the general public seems so short, that they only remember the last 5-10 yrs of what is best - statistically ridiculous in most cases Tongue

Now, regarding this thread, Peter Gabriel is good, but c'mon! - the best piece of music ever....... by Genesis???? LMAO Smile

One must have been drinking too much ale, to have come to this conclusion Wink
