the same thing happens on other similar sites - im a member on deviantArt which is a good site but suffers the same problem of getting high vote amounts by first going round ass licking everyone else and asking them to return the favour - totally sad way for a system to run successfully

I agree! clicks don't mean anything here on EPZ, sure its nice a few bother to look and react, I get double and triple the comments and clicks on sites that I hardly participate in on the same photos in half of the time! All I am really looking for is that nugget once in a while that tell you how it can be bettered, BUT! they are just that! gold nuggets as those that really know just look and move on and only really comment on those friends photos that really need no comment because their quality speaks for it self!

uploading to the critique gallery once a week its just not an option so I hardly use it.

My Gallery wanderings follow a very random pattern but I do like to call in on a few friends en route.
Sometimes it is easier to say things to friends that you don't like to mention to others for fear of upsetting them. (Some people are sooooo sensitive). The hardest thing of all is to go completely against the run of play.
I had the same thing today in a different context. I called in at an Art Exhibition . Most of it was completely wasted on me, I just couldn't understand it at all. Everybody else thought it was wonderful judging by the comments. I concluded it was my problem and moved on without commenting at all.

so people, why do you think there is so much of this "if i give you, you give me"??

i find it rather sad that this is still going on ,everybody knows really if there shot is good or not, because havent you heard the saying?

" you are your own worst critic?"

No, not always. Sometimes it takes an outsider to find and point out flaws. And that can be very helpful indeed. It's one of the reasons I invite comments on my photos, and it's also the thing that helps me improve the most.

    Oh, you're so clever.

But as long as you keep posting on the forum, you'll always be easy to spot because of your poor use of your own language and your seriously flawed arguments...
