With the news of the demise of Osama bin Laden this morning what does this really mean for the world now? If Pakistan were closely involved with him as its being suggested then it seems understanble how he's escaped capture for so long.

He represented a job infinished and while free an open sore to the US , althrough nothing may change in the real world there will be a feeling that the chapter can bow be closed. He was the iconic head of the terrorist movement which has now been removed, it sends a message to who ever follows that you will never be safe.

I wonder how many billions of pounds/dollars went in the hunting & killing of this one man? Only time will tell as to wether this is money well spent.

I`d like to believe it but don`t, why after all the money any good troops lost on hunting him would they just dump his body in the sea and leave no evidence for the world to see

He was disposed of at sea so there was no where for these nutters to worship him as a martyre other than in their minds. I have no reason to believe he's not dead & I'm pleased he is, a clear message has been sent, it had to be done and personally its made my day!

They probably kept the body but are telling everyone they buried it at sea for the reasons above.

I am pleased too if he really is killed.
So far, it is all 'they said'. Where is the video footage?
call me sceptical but until I see that, it is all political mind game.

They would not have told us they had killed him if there was any chance that he could disprove there claim so its 100 percent hes dead or out the picture for good I'm sure.
There is educated opinions from people in the field that his death is irrelevant now as the middle east collapses like a house of cards the role of his group is very much diminished.
