Personally you would be wiser looking out for a Nikon 18-70mm, Just Google that particular Tokina model and see why.....!!!
If its a wider lens your after the Tokina 12-24mm is a good choice, Highly rated by those who use them, Though quite honestly 18mm on an DX sensor is plenty wide enough....!
Make that 24mm if you fancy buying into an FX lens/system at some point....
