I have and wish I never sold it, stunning sharp lens, great bang for the buck.

I agree with all the comments. I had one on my Canon 450D but sold the whole system for a Nikon D5000.
I regretted the day I sold that lens, it had superb build quality, and gave razor sharp pictures over its entire focul range. A highly revered lens amongst those who know. Just make sure you get the later Mk 2 model.
I'm now saving up for one to fit the Nikon.
