Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I've been playing around with PS for some time now but to no avail. The effect I'm after is along the lines of this, this or this.

any pointers to where I should start will be greatfully apreciated.

Hi Adrian, I took the last 2 of these images. I use Photoshop Elements and to achieve the toning I select Enhance>Adjust Colour>Hue/Saturation. Make sure you select the "Colorize" checkbox in the Hue/Saturation window and then it's just a matter of adjusting the sliders to select the tone and lightness etc to your liking.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Paul, thanks for the advice. Just like me to overcomplicate things, I've been messing about with combinations of Channel Mixer, Gradient Map and Colour Balance without getting near the effect I want.

Thanks again, Adrian. I'm off to play now.
