What 1 tip would you give to someone who asks

"How do I make great photos of people?"

Only 1 tip - not 1 and bit, or 3 or 7, but 1 (one).

Think about the most important one...

Find out what turns them on, floats their boat, what they burn for, gets them engaged. Then they come to life and this is reflected in your images of them.

I'd go with "people skills" too - the art of "rapport" and reading people to get the best out of them.

The rest is secondary - technically perfect photographs of people looking bored/annoyed/miles away just don't engage you the same as interested/animated/expressive photos of people Wink
