    Hi
I have my camera set to never turn off or power down(Olympus E20). Yet whenever I try and download pictures from the camera using its usb port after 10 minutes or so the screen goes black then I get the blue screen telling me I have unplugged a device without stopping the usb server.

This is not the case as I want the transfer to complete before I unplug it.

If I take the card out and use my cardreader I have no problems, all the files are tranfered even if it takes 20+ minutes.

I have ME as the OS and the card reader is Jessops own multicard reader.

    Any Ideas?

    Barry

I don't know much about ME apart from the fact that it can cause problems. Check on your display settings to make sure you haven't got your monitor or hard-drive to turn off after ten mins. Make sure power is also set to never turn off. Having them turn off might confuse the usb to think it has nothing connected. When I am doing a large video capture I never have these turned off because I lose signal for a fraction of a second. That is enough to drop several frames.

Another thing is that some programs hate sharing. I always turn off screen-savers and check that my virus scan is not checking files being opened etc. I will do a little asking around to see if anyone else has come across this problem.
