Just wanting opinions really. Planning a trip upto scotland next saturday for a week. Ive narrowed down the places i want to visit. Looking at Loch lomend, glencoe and then isle of skye.I know a week probably isnt long enough really but thought id give it a go.
Looking at going around the rowardennan area of loch lomend for a couple of days, then on the drive upto skye drop off at glencoe maybe for a day or so then drive upto skye. Thinking about trying to get accommodation around elgol if possible or a bit further so im more central to travel to other parts.
Just looking for a bit of advice really as this is the first time ive done something like this. If anyone has any recomendations for accommodation thatd be great because its a bit overwhelming the amount of hotels and different areas of scotland, lol. Its a masive pplace. Would you recomend booking accommodation or just turning up at a B&B on your travels and trying your luck? Thanks everyone, hope you can help me.

Excellent choice
) I am biased of course
)) Accomodation here is the problem however. We are full at the hostel and the local hotel is also full :-((( but do not let that put you off as there will be accomodation in Drymen, Balloch, Milngavie all within an hours drive of here and i wpuld be delighted to meet up with you here and show you around a little. PM me if you get accom sorted around here.
Dave
Hey Dave, cheers for the reply. Ill have to check accommodation out yeah, seems I might have left it a little late to book in to anywhere but ill give it a go for sure. Yeah thatd be great there seems like there is so much to see in scotland think I need a year rather than a week, lol.
Personally I wouldn't stay at Elgol - whenever I go to Skye, Elgol is a place I go to, rather than stay at. Other than the overdone shot of the Cuillin ridge from the beach at Elgol, there isn't much else. But that's just my opinion!
To be honest, I usually base myself on the mainland, somewhere around Loch Alsh or Loch Duich, and head over to Skye either on a 'day-trip' or just stay over for a couple of days. If you fancy staying on the mainland, you could try staying a few nights at the Kintail Lodge - they have a bunkhouse you could stop in.

That would explain the 2GB of data from two brief morning shoots me and Andy had there then!

(Apologies for my lack of punctuation which altered the actual subject in the sentence)
