Can anybody help?
I have just bought a Fujifilm Finepix S5000 and am having trouble getting my PC to recognise it. When I was installing the software I accidently installed it using the Windows installer option. I then discoeverd that I should have done it using the program that came with it. Because of this I can not find any files on my PC relating to the original instalation but I am unable to re-instal it using the correct software. My operating system is ME and the instructions say that the camera and software is compatible. Any ideas???
have you tried the "Add/remove programs" option under the control panel - I can't help a lot more than that 'cos I don't use ME
I think ME had restore points. If it does then roll your system back to before you installed the software.
If not and you cannot remove the software insert the CD and navigate to the setup.exe file and run it to see if it gives you any options. With any win9x systems its always advisable to allow windows to re-boot before/after removing any software.
ME should be OK for runing this camera as it has enhansed USB functions etc.
Oh and one last thought. The bios does have the USB ports turned on doesn't it. I once spent ages with a lap top before I clicked this one. Check for how to do this in your motherboard Bios handboook.
does any other USB device work?
