Does anyone believe in UFOs or even better has anyone claimed to have seen one or even better still - actually taken a picture of one...? In the light of this months sightings by the police - military and random members of the public there seems to be more and more evidence to suggest that they might be out there...?
Any tips on photographing these elusive flying machines would be welcome ![]()
How can you not believe in Unidentified Flying Objects?
You see something flying in the skies that can't be identified then it's a UFO.
Isn't it funny though that since more places have got CCTV, more people have cameraphones and cameras that the sightings have fallen, not risen, same with Nessie, ghosts and fairies.
Back in my paper round days...i saw a light hover over my village...and then rocket back to the stars. No idea what it was so an unidentified flying object. E.T stuff me thinks!
It's just really annoying how all pictures/videoclips of something interesting either ghostly or otherwise, is always fuzzy, blurred, jerky and lame! The only footage that actually holds decent details are forgeries!
Unfortunately people often don't just report what they saw, but add supposition. Its quite possible they saw something that really was there, and not yet documented or understood by science, but, with the background of science fiction and media reporting, they'll infer that its a UFO, and that a UFO must be extraterrestrial.
Often people see lights in the sky and assume they're objects - but they may be a natural phenomenon that hasn't been properly studied yet - important and useful observations if correctly reported, but not flying spacecraft.
Thankfully, aircrew tend to report these things in a more factual manner.
I don't think there have been any significant UFO sightings recently - there have been apparently some bin liners or kites floating about, and a helicopter crew, at night, saw "an unusual aircraft".
But some newspapers a make a lot out of not much.
Thats the trouble - if there were real spacecraft it would be very difficult to find the real ones amongst all the nonsense.

LOL - I sort of thought that the 13 sightings reported in the paper today was quite a breakthrough... They are here - at last, to take some of us back kind of thing
Perhaps many of us want to believe in the chance of aliens landing to break our attention given to the way of the world as to speak...
A bit like - house prices high then crashing - suffocating mortgages - escalating inflation - higher petrol costs - extra taxes - poverty - ALIENS, WOW forget the credit crunch - CAMERA!!!!
A very good mate of mine, ex-police now a pilot for a very well known passenger service told me last week that 2 of his senior pilots reported two lights flying directly in front of the cockpit at cruising speed, did'nt show on the radar either, they suddenly accelerated off in front of the jet at about twice the speed the jet was cruising at, then went vertically upwards disappearing into the cloud that they had dropped out of.
The pilots were told NOT to report.
My mate is one of the best and personally thinks UFO's are a load of bull, he now things differently.
jk
During the mid eighties I read quite a few books on the subject. In one, a couple of UFO researchers, who were looking into a UFO cover up, spotted a strange black triangular shaped object near a US airbase, they went onto describe it in detail. Many years later we now know them as USAF Lockheed Martin F117A stealth fighters! I think quite often the military are happy to have the general public speak of UFOs being the crafts of aliens... It helps them with their top secret projects.
I know that aliens are here, I've seen them and read about them on the internet. Also, it seems that thousands of American citizens have been abducted from their beds at night, transported to huge spaceships and then returned safely back to their own beds a few hours later.
They must think we're a bit thick though because every summer they write to us by leaving messages in the middle of a field. You'd think after having travelled a gazillion miles, they'd introduce themselves better.
If you'd seen my wife's cooking you'd know it really stood for Unidentified Frying Object.......
