Does anybody out there know of anyone who might have a DMW-MCTZ5 for sale or that they would lend a desperate EPZer.
we ordered one over a week ago and today I phoned the company to find out where it was only to be told it was out of Stock!!! They hadn't bothered to inform us. so a mad dash on the internet and phone only to be told they are impossible to get!.
We wouldn't have bought a Lumix if we had known we couldn't get the housing for it. Every site bar one indicated that they were available. Only one said the item was out of stock! Is this not false advertising.
Any help or suggestions would be very welcome. We leave for the Galapagos on 15th June

How desperate are you? would you consider buying a different make to get the housing? I bought a Canon G9 and got an underwater housing off amazon for example, it's a great little camera.

    Is this not the one?

    Or this one?

    Or this one?

    Or here

Without knowing whom you have contacted, it is hard to suggest a place to look

Coltrane thankyou for the links. I have tried almost everybody. Bristol Cameras were the ones that we thought we had bought from but then when I phoned to ask where it was after waiting a week for it to turn up they said it was out of stock.
I am now trying Big city Digital who I haven't tried. they say they have it in stock but of course they are not open on the weekends so will have to wait until monday.
    Thanks again

Have you tried Cameras Underwater? (Cole's last link)
If they can't help you I'd go for a different camera rather than be frustrated because you can't get any UW photos.

    Hi Penny
thanks for the tip. Yes we have tried them. You just cannot get one of these at the moment it seems. Even tried Taiwan on ebay and whilst they say they have 5 in stock I emailed them and they said it a special order and may take a few weeks to get!!!!
A new camera with housing is the only way to go unfortunately

It has been said that the whole of Britain's population could stand on the Isle of Wight (or was it the Isle of Man?).

The whole of the UK's population could stand, or indeed sit, on the Isle of Wight... each would have a space approx 8 feet square - quite comfortable!

    Notta lotta people know that............................

............................ or indeed want to! Grin
