    Hi Everyone,

This is just a heads up to everyone that we plan on upgrading the gallery section of ePHOTOzine to the new V5 version either later today or Wednesday morning. The V5 Gallery has been in beta for a couple of months now and we have received alot of great feedback. Thank you to all the beta testers who helped us with testing the new gallery. We are very excited about many of the changes and enhancements the new version has to bring and hope everyone else is too.

I'm looking forware to richer EXIF and aperture information automatically.
A new way to learn uploads but simpler and clearer overall.

I just hope everyone gives it a chance before coming on to moan about it! Smile

    pmsl!!!

It might be useful if a note of some kind was shown at the top of the gallery pages to inform those that don't visit the forum that this is happening.

David's off and we want all hands on deck to make sure any issues are dealt with quickly and any bugs (although it has been tested thoroughly) are fixed

    Hi Everyone,

We are starting to work through the v5 upgrade of the gallery. During this time, we must turn off all areas that reference photos on ePHOTOzine. We will be back shortly once all the importing and upgrading is completed which should be later today.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Looks good doesn't it . . . ?

So far, I've just had a quick browse and a look at the critique gallery (my natural habitat) and I've noticed that modifications that have been uploaded aren't there (yet)?

That's not a complaint, 'cos I'm sure it's being dealt with; it's just an observation.

    Jester.

    Edit:
Are we going to be stuck with this dreadful typeface in the comments box or has it been changed by mistake? I seem to recall the same thing happening when the forums were revamped.
Looks like "Typewriter", although I don't think it actually is.

    Hi Everyone,

Rather than be the quiet backroom type, I thought we should let you guys know what we are doing at the moment.

The v5 gallery upgrade is complete, however there are a few bugs and performance issues that need to be ironed out. Unfortunately, these issues weren't spotted during beta even with the amount of beta testers that were involved.

What we are currently aware of is:

    - vote count is wrong (but voter list is correct) on photos
    - some photos are missing official awards.
    - awarded photos box on portfolio is slow (we have disabled this feature for the meantime until we can get it to run quicker)
    - typewriter font is back in the add comment box

As mentioned by the moderators, if you are aware of any further bugs, please submit a report. This will grab out attention a whole lot quicker than discussing it in the forum.

We are all working really hard to get the bugs fixed and the speed back to the way it was. Thank you for everyone's patience.

Just had a quick peek and first thing i notice is there is no tick box for this is a good critique point. i had hoped this was going to made clearer to use than before but it has gone altogether unless i am nissing something.
    regards
    Phil
