I used to have one, its not great, the old Sigma 175-500 is superior. The only good news I have on it is I traded it in for the same price I bought it. Even on my old 6mp camera it suffers from bad chromatic aberration and is very soft till you stop it down. Also focus was slow and hesitant. If you have no long lens then it is worth a punt, but as I said the old sigma is a lot better. Pay under 100 pounds is my advice.
