I would like to ask our esteemed members, should we be able to "mark down" an image as well as giving one a vote?

So, Lawbert, you think that this proposed facility(about as much chance of implementation) would be used properly and not in any way maliciously?

That means the image goes to a minus vote.

For that to run fairly and efficiently the voter would have to give clear reasons as to why they do not like it (and hopefully not the 'i dont like portraits/birds/insects/etc even though its technically excellent or original), and also that they should vote on each and every image. Its easy to like something but not know why, but it seems hard for folk to explain why they dont like something (constructively, at least)

One assumes you would also be forced to say why you do not like the photo to go with your minus click. Wink
