When I use VueScan to preview an image of a sunset, where red or orange dominates, it automatically adjusts the colour to compensate, completely obliterating the colour cast which I want to keep. How can I set it so it doesn't do this? I have tried all the various 'Colour Balance' settings on the Colour tab. I am not experienced enough to adjust the colours manually either, so can anyone offer any pointers?
I am using a Minolta Scan Elite II.

Ah well... it turns out I can now use the Minolta software with Firewire on OS X (I couldn't when I bought the scanner) so I don't need to use VueScan any more. The Minolta software doesn't mess with the colours at all, so I got much better results.
