A friend of mine recently tried experimenting with sports insoles and it left him injured for a few months.

Have you looked at having your feet photographed and insoles made around 55

Get down to your local Snow and Rock shop and take your boots. They have moldable insoles which are heat treated to fit your feet exactly. Used the service a few times for ski-boot footbeds.

But yeah, good company with clued-up staff.

I have a pair of Orthaheel insoles that I bought before my trip to Rome. They now get dropped into whatever shoes I'm wearing. Well worth the money.
