Can anyone suggest some good locations for river / landscape locations in the Bungay area pls

Check out the area near Bungay golf course, The actual land the golf club uses is common land, Regularly used by dog walkers and the like, Hence you are free to roam, Its a good idea to keep out of the way where you see golfers doing their thing....LOL, Coz them darn little balls tend to hurt..... But that aside both public and golfers generally get on really well.
Parking is very easy and free, Check out google earth for exact directions, Look for the roundabout on the A143 ( Gt Yarmouth Road ) That is nearest to Bungay town, Then locate the Golf Club House, You will see a little road leading to the club house, The public car parking is on the right as you approach the club house.
There are many well worn paths in and around the common/golf course, You can cross the golfing areas ( no idea what they call them, Just take care ) Allow a couple of hours minimum to fully explore this place.
Back to the A143, The next roundabout heading towards Gt Yarmouth, Known as the Chicken roundabout ( Large flock of " Feral " chickens inhabit the area LOL ) If you get time there is an old " Malting's " in a derelict condition, Its not easy to get at, But a wander around the perimeter might provide a few shots of interest, If the light is right.
The Waveney valley itself has some good landscapes, To capitalise you really need to have the high ground views from one side or another, Again light and crops can make for some good options, Your best to look at google earth again for roads and precise locations to check out.
5 or so miles from Bungay is the village of " Mendham " here there are views of the river, A big old water mill, Locations and history most notable for associations with " Sir Alfred Munnings " , The old water mill being a place he lived at, Mendham church yard also contains Munnings family members, Mostly located near the main entrance gate.
That's enough to fill a weekend, Good luck, Hope you enjoy our part of the world.
If you do find your way to Mendham, Look for the bridge crossing the river, You can if your careful wander along the river bank a little, It is private land, But so long as you don't tangle with any cattle that might be grazing, Or take up residence, The owners are a pretty friendly lot.....LOL.... From this location you can get a nice riverside shot of the old water mill, But don't tell anyone I told you this.....
Many thanks for this - great stuff
