Just come back from a back to back couple including 300 miles travel and 11 hours each ... still beats a 9-5 .....
Got a full time day job but could retire early in 5 years, building up a wedding photography business at weekends, would love to do it full time now.

We did a back to back last year but kept it local. Exhausting but good for the adrenalin levels! I must say a 300 mile trek on top of that is an incredible feat of endurance! My deepest admiration for your achievement.
300 miles.... hope you're charging a decent milage fee
Just seen ANOTHER wedding thread has started....
I think I may start another one as well... still not enough discussion about weddings....
How about this then, do you include a disc of images with your wedding package? If so high or low resolution?

I gave up when Kodak stopped making the camera`s
they can buy a disc if they like
Organising group shots is so old hat, I can get them all in with one hit with one of these, job done.
Back to back weddings this weekend:
- Saturday - horizontal rain all day, Priest refused us use of the Church for a group picture, Bridesmaids were total air-heads and waited 20 mins on one being found for pics, Venue expecting pics for a magazine advertising shoot, Bride not wanting to get dress dirty so stood holding it all day, no food for us and videographer, band were still tuning up at 9.20pm and then were rubbish - and all this at a VERY expensive marquee wedding.
- Sunday - dry but cold. Buses picking up guests did not arrive, ushers never arrived when arranged so only half the guys to photograph, Groom stressed out over buses, Bride calmness personified but turned to a wreck 10 mins before the ceremony. Buses arrived just in time, done guys pics at 1.55pm, Bride in room at 2pm (only 8 mins late...), rest of the day a breeze. Weather improved, everyone in good form, Bride and Groom a joy to work with and very appreciative of our efforts, perfect sunset pic to end the day.
Just goes to show you that it's not quite as straight forward as you may assume and that it's generally other people that create the problems we then have to solve...
I've never sworn at a vicar but came very close a couple of years ago! The most unpleasant, arrogant vicar I have ever met. Most are fantastic and really helpful (especially the one recently who was a fellow photographer!).
Arrogant vicar has retired so chances were I would not have to deal with him again. Wrong!!!! Two weeks time, brought out of retirement and already made the bride cry and the groom wants to thump him! Great, can't wait for this one!

Can we all come?

Only if you line up behind the groom to take your turn!!!
(You'll be doing me a big favour)
