not long to go now guys.....................
have you ever noticed that when you need tobe precise about the time every clock in the house throws its hands up in the air?!!!
so i think time is up.
I'll be back in twenty minutes or so with a 'winner'.
thank you for your contributions to the black and white weekly challenge.
I've enjoyed looking at them as they came in over the week.
In third place is elaine with log jam. I like the juxta position of the texture of the logs with the texture on the fire grate - lovely.
in second place is chavendar with the wood carving - wow that's a powerful piece!
the winner for me this week is jack with what i call the eye - the knot in the wood showing the fine detail of circles and splits.
well done Jack - over to you.................
100% agree on the winning image Jade.
Well done Jack canny lad, I love the textures and shapes shown up by the lighting in your shot
Well done too Bill - nice carving.
Can't wait to see what challenge your going to come up with for the coming week Jack.
Thanks for hosting Jade - good theme.
that's very gracious of you elaine, thank you.
Unbeknownst to jack those are one of my favourite images, i think of them as eyes in the trees.
i hope he doesn't come with something like rubber gloves!!
Thank you for your kind words, Jade, and thank you for hosting.
The photo was a section of our back fence; it has had at least 40 years of weathering. So, no, Jade, it wasn't a hen-house!
In the UK many will be on holiday next week, so here's a topic that one can photograph on holiday :WINDOW(S).
Not the software, and not just a view from a window. Frames, surrounds etc, okay to be included: also okay are unglazed windows ("lights").
Hope you've not had it before I joined the group.
Remember rule 9:HAVE FUN
Great work Jack lovely texture
Thanks for your comments, Elaine. I enjoyed seeing the entries, a good topic, Jade

Well done Jack!
