Hi
Well as Elaine is going to be indisposed (and best wishes to you Elaine) I have agreed to host this week's challenge.
The theme is 'temperature'. Fire, ice or something in between. Be creative in your interpretation so long as it is a macro image of something to do with temperature.
The Rules:
1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. All images must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. All images must be uploaded by 6 pm on the 12th February in the Macro group photo area.
4. The title of your entry should begin "Weekly Macro Challenge".
5. Only one upload per member.
6. Please feel free to comment on the entries once judging is complete.
7. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final.
8. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week.
9. Have fun
Sue
Oooh that was difficult to judge - and I liked all the images as they each offered something different. Too be honest, they are all great images, but I think the one that most closely fitted the criteria of the challenge - temperature and macro was the thawing icicle by JawDborn. So, over to you for the next challenge!
I will do my best to comment on each of the photos soon. Thanks for entering everyone!
Sue
Many thanks, Sue. My photo was inspired by a train journey on Friday through the snowy Derbyshire dales.
I'm new to ePHOTOzine,so I hope this is the correct place to set the topic.
For this next Weekly challenge the topic is 'Lines.' Straight ones, curved ones, bent ones, wiggly ones.... The lines must predomitate in the image.
Regards to all.
Jack
Well done JawDborn and Thankyou for the topic Sue!

Hi Jack
I'm not sure if this is the right advice, as I am fairly new around here too - but this is what I would do.
Go to the macro photography forum (there's a tab at the top of this page) and click on the tab to start a new topic. Call your new topic something like 'macro photography weekly challenge ends 6pm Feb 19th'
Cut and paste the rules from another weekly challenge post, remembering to change the date when entries close.
Hope this helps
Sue
