I've always liked Midge Ure's version of that song.

Wow - that's a fantastic version. I love it. And what a great video. I'm definitely keeping that one, although I do feel a bit unfaithful to the wonderful Scott.
Thanks for posting.

Some people are just too gifted. Can't hear this often enough, along with his San Francisco Bay Blues.

I had heard the "Little Red Rooster" first time by 'the doors' , yeah, what a piece. But settling for one performance only doesn't do good when it comes to knowing music, it stops you exploring. I am happy that I've found it sung by 'Big Mamma' Thornton. She even makes some cockerel sounds, making the song her's (lol). No she aint, gotta to listen to it by Tom Waits too... But now... this is the lady singing it herself. Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ycw4uaXPRU

Now I'm listening to The Music of the Cosmos which accompanied the Carl Sagan series "Cosmos" in 1981. Fab to hear this again.

Riders on the Storm probably to be followed by Joni Mitchell's Ghost riders and probably Mule Skinners Blues.

I have been taking a trip down memory lane listening to some old favourites like Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and Nat King Cole. Now, they were people who really new how to get the best out of songs written by the best composers of all time.
