This:- my 14 year old nephew who wrote this himself and a local studio in Bournville have recorded it for him. Really proud of him and it would be really great for him if some of you could like it for him - of course......I'm totally biased!!!

Doors at Eight, a live album from Peter Knight's Gigspanner. Went to see them last night at Tewkesbury and they were excellent. Gispanner comprise Peter Knight, wizard of the fiddle, ex-Steeley Span, joined by Vincent Salzfass on the congas and Roger Flack on semi-acoustic guitar.

We were treated last night to this brilliant piece:

Just rediscovered Chris Rea.

Forgotten what a wonderful voice he had.

Family were Ice Cream makers in Redcar

n8trm, Quite correct - cos yi hev brains like aall us Geordies. Rea's ice cream was also purveyed (sold Wink) in our town, as was Seghini's ice cream.
At the moment I am doing a thesis on why all, or 99% of ice cream makers in the UK, were of Italian origin. The only English one I can recall is Wall's ice cream. Perhaps that is a good olde English name, or was it some Roman Legionaire, stationed at Heddon on the Waall, who when demobbed decided to stay and treat the locals to some ice cream ?Tongue

At the moment I am listening to George Jones singing Possum Hollow.

For a true Geordie, I've alway enjoyed Lindisfarne, Meet Me On The Corner. A true classic.
