I never buy deodorants as gifts. I'm afraid of causing offence Smile

My main gift is what I'm getting all day and that is to watch the family enjoy themselves, makes it all worth it.

The joy of standing in the field, adjacent to the feeding station, watching all the wee ones, enjoying the fresh water & meal worms I had taken up.

Plus an hour of complete solitude, reflecting on what might have been, what is now & what is to come

We also had the fun of watching the dog open his presents, amazing how much enjoyment can be got from a chew and a bit of wrapping paper

I got to meet and take some images of my five week old great-nephew, a lovely little chap, after that it off to my place of work
to top up the feeders and put lots of grub out for the ground feeding birds, then laid on my tummy for an hour, camera in hand,
hoping that the male blackbird would come close enough, he did, and rewarded me with my first half decent images of this beautiful bird,
decent light on a blackbirds feathers, wonderful.

I just got another hour out with my camera, photographing little egrets and the glossy ibis, and the light was just stunning, specially after a week of it being overcast.

I also got the new David Noton DVD and a book on Photoshop. And some marzipan fruit Grin
