Here's a link to the page on The Edge which gives a long list of answers from a wide range of people about what they believe but just can't prove.
For instance, I'm convinced everything is interconnected whatever race, creed, appearance or century, not only because of the evolution of human beings from what we were before but because of the energy in the protons that make up what and where we are which can't simply vanish into nothingness when we die or when a tree rots or a mountain crumbles. For me, that explains (for instance) why buildings carry the memory of people and sounds and shadows.
What are yours? (Not necessarily scientific either ..) 8-D

Clapton that is!
I believe Clapton is a great guitar player, and not a very good singer. But, his music is too clean and pristine for blues. The raw talent of Stevie Ray Vaughan could grab you and evoke emotion after emotion. I have one version of Tin Pan Ally that is a masterpiece. After his death I read in his biography that in that recording session his mates complained that he was too loud, and he went to the other extreme, and the result is what I believe to be one of the best blues recordings of all time. I enjoy it best with the earphones on and no distractions.
