I have been looking at this lens and was torn between the Tamron 70-300 VC and the Canon 70-200 F4 (non-IS) in my price range, the Tamron definately seems to produce some sharp images Smile

I was in the same boat as yourself when buying this lens as I was also looking at the Nikon 70-300 VR. I have no regrets and the VC is amazing, I am able to get sharp photos at 1/16 and 300mm hand held.
