if you can't define "better", can you say what makes the better photo?

just get rid of all your socks

buy 10-30 pairs of the same sock

never ever need to "pair" socks again...

Cause its like a trainwreck/carcrash/political meltdown - we all know its going to be bad, but for some inexplicable reason you just can't stop watching till the bitter end that a moderator locks it - or the interesting people move onto another thread.

Given some recent posts, it will probably be resurected in 3 years' time when someone adds a new comment and we can do it all over again Smile

At school a teacher once posed this

You put 7 red socks then 7 black socks into one drawer and mix them up. You then ask a blindfolded man to get you a pair of socks.

How many would he need to take out to be sure he brought you a matching pair?

Guesses?

Are they left leg socks or right leg socks? Or are they a mixture of both - this is important in the determining of the right answer.

I did think the thread was timewasting, until it developed a life of its own, now it has entertainment value, I just tune in for the latest episode.

It's not being cancelled is it ?

The socks are unileg. 7 red socks then 7 black socks into one drawer and mix them up. You then ask a blindfolded man to get you a pair of socks. How many do you think he would need to take out to be sure he brought you a matching pair?

Hmm well as I see it there are 2 possible answers

1) 0 - because if he's getting socks for me at this time of the year he's too late - they are already on my feet!

2) 1 - because two unileg socks are unileg socks - black and black, red and red or red and black the colour don't matter.

Three.

But it all depends. I buy my socks from Costco and the black ones can be different shades of black depending on when I bought them (production batch?) and how often I have already worn/washed them. So sometimes I get a 'pair' and they just don't seem right together.

Such is life......
