Putting hurtful accusations of sarcasm to one side ........the writing's been on the wall ever since our political masters decided that education was the answer to many of our economic woes. Continually tinkering with the system and the placing of 'bums on seats' in an effort to reduce youth unemployment was bound to have a detrimental effect on standards, both in terms of making the getting of a degree easier and also by making the feeder channels to universities (schools) easier to negotiate. Getting letters after your name has never been easier.
