Badly exposed (and composed) photograph and unpaid for. That makes me sadder.

Taken 2 days ago here in Dumfries and Galloway on my local golf course.

The road to Dumfries is still shut due to deep drifts, I haven't seen anything like this here for years.

We used to live at Rastrick Upper Edge, just across the valley from Stainland. Although we had bad winters we didn't get it quite that bad.

I was supposed to instructing on a drystone walling course this weekend, but we had to call it off, conditions on Friday were like seahawks' picture & that was before the 2nd dose of snow came in in the evening.

It had snow on it in December when I was there.

Today 6 ins of snow and -2C here without factoring in the wind.

Just this minute got back from a run. For the first half I was thinking how miserable the weather was and how absolutely freezing cold it was (at least it is in a t-shirt). I bumped into another runner, purely by chance, who was training for a race and going like the clappers. I ended up upping my pace to his as we chatted away and subsequently knocked 30 seconds off my previous runs for this particular route Smile. It's anything but cold now, body temperature is now sky high and the bitterly cold wind couldn't have been more welcome, and needed. So I guess the weather's not too bad after all Smile

8 here and overcast. No snow but a chilly easterly is making it feel a lot colder.

A balmy 16 is forecast for Easter Sunday...

A long burst of sunshine this morning has taken away a lot of the snow and allowed the crocuses to re-appear.
