Great shots randomblue. I am going to collect my pictures today. I was hoping to scan them with my film scanner but the manufacturer told me its software is not compatible with my new operating system. (My old laptop's motherboard gave up the spirit and the hard disc is not recognised by the new laptop either). Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I've inserted a new colour film and took some shots yesterday. Have a sunny day all!
I have been out testing my Asahi Pentax Spotmatic F I was given, loaded with 2005 outdated Kodak Ultra 400 film I rated at 250 ASA and processed myself in C41 -- I bet I will get some big enlargements when I use fresher film !
Brilliant results Pete
Thanks -- I will get some really good fun from this lovely gift !
Yesterday. The film is not finished yet. One of the frames I shot was the flag of South Africa displayed on a window behind some yellow bars. I know the picture looked right in my viewfinder but it does not cover 100% field of view and during the processing and final printing to the lab I take the film some part of the frame I shot will be missing.
Took my M4p to the Goodwood Revival last weekend, still got some shots left as the weather was so bad on Sunday.
Yesterday, since I had colour film and collected my colour washing shot 3 different colours and different fabrics fabrics next to each other... it is a bleshing when it's bright in the living room. I used it as my studio. Once the film scanner issue gets resolved I shall upload some here.
Yesterday! A new huge painting on a 3 story building advertising a forthcoming event.
Today I was out with my Canon A1 ( also a 'gift' camera') as it had not been used for many months -- I had tried many times to lubricate the camera which suffered from the famous 'CANON SQUEAK' and had taken the base plate off many times -- I thought I would give it one more try -- when I fired the shutter -- LO and BEHOLD - A Miraculous Event had taken place -- the Squeak was GONE !!
Rings a bell for sure.....
Reporting 3 frames shot yesterday
i went to the famous 'Harrods' store, Brompton Road, LONDON on Saturday - I was using my free CANON A1 loaded with Fuji ACROS 100 - I found the CAMERAS in Harrods Technical section -- well, I showed my A1 to a salesman and he said " I had one of those at College" and I told him the Canon Squeak story so he called over a very young Salesman and asked HIM " Do you know what is the Canon Squeak ? " and the Young Salesman said " Is it anything to do with Bubble and Squeak ? " -----
Another 2 or 3 shots today and now the film is at the developing lad. Once I sort my scanner out, I shall upload pictures.
