Hang on though John, you must have seen Mr H's RAW challenge picture and the dust and muck that RAW file had. Then look at his final images and....well, dust isn't that big an issue.

I was hoping the 40D will be announced February 2007.

I hope it in these improvements:

- 10+ MPix
- Sensor cleaning feature
- Weather/dust sealing
- AF system as 5D
- Custom setting mode - as 5D
- still maintain 5fps
- improved dynamic range, improved image processing
- improved manual focusing (combination of split screen?)
- better grip, better build - as 5D
- orientation sensor
- the stupid button for direct print to able to reprogram for other function
- anti reflexive coating on the display, possibly more HI-RES

- AF assist lamp, as the ancient 300D (low on the list)


i'm curious what features you want to have on 40D
