for wildlife it has to be Frans Lanting, his Eye to Eye series is outstanding.

i also like Bob Carlos Clarke and have done for years, but it seems soo passe to like him now ;o)

faber is also a favourite when it comes to photographing the fairer sex, and couldnt be more distant to BCC when it comes to styles.

I was thinking that. Obviously photography is viewed by the majority as a primarily aesthetic or even escapist activity. Please don't take that as a dig of any kind, I don't want to start any arguments, it was just an observation.

Hmmm, I was going to make a remark about your post here, K, but it was edited. Did you do that yourself, or did your colleague-moderators do that? Wink

Had a peek at Williamson's site. Interesting contrast - part of his site is to be viewed by persons over 16 only, but he is also Kodak Family Photographer of the Year...

Don't know any apart from those on here. Guess thats a problem with not studying or looking in to photography deeper.

Francis Frith did a great job in recording Britain years ago. I also greatly admire Frank Meadow Sutcliffe having just returned from Whitby and seen lots of his work.
