LOL - physically, guys, physicallly: who lives outside the UK physically, not just in his mind or outside any photogenic areas in the UK, but physically outside the UK, the whole UK and nothing but the UK! Wink

Near San Francisco California USA
(But some people say my coastal shots look like they are from Cornwall.) Does that count? LOL!

Frisco is definitely not Cornwall, I think we should firmly establish that. Wink

Anyone else from outside the UK?

Why do a lot of Americans do that? I'm assuming that most people know that San Francisco is in America. I don't say New York, USA; London, England; Glasgow, Scotland; Doncaster, Bowels of the earth...
Not having a go, it just seems odd.

It could be because a lot of place names in North America are copied from those in Europe. For instance there is a London, a Glasgow and a Doncaster in the USA also.

London is in Ohio. And in Kentucky.
But East London is in South Africa.

When I search google for anything local I have to tell it Plymouth UK, or I get reams of foreign stuff.

Thanks Mark and Keith, that could well be why.
It just amuses me sometimes when, say, a film starts and you're treated to a view of Westminster, St. Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben (yes I know that's the name of the bell before anyone pipes up) and then a caption comes up...London, England.

I usually explain that I am in the US because many people in Europe and South America are not familiar with the US and have no idea where we are. ( hey we're on the other side of the pond!!!!)

That having been said, I live in Columbia, SC. Capitol of the most beautiful state in the country.

I don't think Brit landscapes are "too familiar". I love England and Wales and would love to return. Not being able to do so means I have to live vicariously through your photos.
