One of the options on EPZ is to show or hide your "recent activity" page.

Mine's open for all to see, but many hide theirs.

Why do you hide it?

Mine's open, if i remember is'nt the default setting set to hide ? If thats the case then it could simply be a case of not knowing about the option....

ah - didn't know which the default was, that may be it.

some people leave really good comments which you can track through the recent activity page.... unless its hidden of course Smile

Neither did I realise there was an option. In future I will hide mine, because after all the things I have posted, people think, or perhaps know and realise that I am a right bloody idiot.Grin

I don't know about mine.
I don't mind it being open but I didn't know I had a choice.

Yep! Just looked. It's showing.

OK night time click wars starting here....some people may accidentally just not have it switched on, some may hide it for personal reasons...

but I find quite often that if I'm looking at a PF and it seems to have an abnormally (or IMO unjustifiably) high vote count, the first thing I look at is the recent activity. If the ratio of comments to pics loaded is 30+ ish, then that usually guarantees high scores (whatever the standard of the comments) and if it's getting to nearer or beyond 50, then the vote count becomes meaningless IMO. So, it's at this stage when I look for someone with ridiculously high votes and can't look at their recent page, I could be forgiven for thinking it's becaue they don't want people to see this.

Having said this, I think this thread will only be useful if people who actually actively hide their counts come on and explain why...I'm very prepared to believe there can be other reasons, i just haven't thought of them...

I hid mine a long time ago when I realised people were using the recent activity to score points in the forum. Sad, but true.
