I think some country can be a bit cliched and dreary but then again what area of music is not cliched after a while ... rap, pop, love songs, aor etc etc etc

My taste in music ranges from some heavy metal to rock and serious classical.

I've tried country music but it does nothing for me.

Ultimately it's what you like that really matters!
