Fuji over recent times have launched interesting and excellent cameras and now the rumoured X-T1 which is a retro [Fujica SLR] type camera is to be launched this year. There doesn't seem to be any hint of a X-S2 replacement for the old X-S1, yet new HS bridge cameras are still coming out. I wonder if they have dropped the X-S1 concept.

    Hi Kodachrome,

I think the S1 is the nearest to being a premium bridge camera replacement:

Since the X-S1 has regularly been on special offer on Amazon with a much reduced price, I suspect that the camera was slightly overpriced to sell in the numbers Fuji were hoping for,

    Cheers,

    Josh

S1 is an interesting camera and by looks of it might be X-S1 replacement but it's 1/2.3" sensor is not even 1/2" like in HS50. It is really a continuation of S line upgraded to match competition. Long troubled 2/3" EXR sensor seems to be abandoned by Fuji , it did not even make to X20 camera. Being finally debugged it probably cost the company more than it made in profits from the sales - here I agree with Joshwa.
This leaves us with HS50 as X-S1 heir.
