    Hey guys,was wondering if this would fit my eos400d?
    Been after a prime lens so any advice would be good. Thanks Smile

    The lens you are looking at is an FD mount while the 400D mount is EF (and EF-S). You would need an adapter to mount the lens and it would be manual focus and exposure. The adapter can be had for about £25.

    Simon....this lens is to fit the old Canon film cameras, with an FD fitting.....it will not fit a Canon EOS camera, unless
    you use an adapter, then it won't focus to infinity anyway.

    They were a damn good lens (& still are !).....not worth following up, due to the incompatibility !!!

    If you don't get an adapter for it buy a reversing ring off eBay for a few quid and screw it by the filter thread on to another lens and try your hand at cheap macro! Doesn't have masses of uses but you can do some fun shots if you've got a sturdy tripod.
