Your wife keeps stopping saying "have you seen that" when you are 200 yds behind with your head in a bush trying to capture a shot of a bee.
(It all reminds me of when I used to be a keen fisherman, carp fishing with my rods on a "Pod" and an electronic alarm to indicate a bite. I fell out of bed one morning when the alarm went off and I reached out to grab my fishing rod!
)
When a "Friend" asks you to show them how to take a "Good" photograph with their new DSLR and after half an hour of you trying to condense the basics for them they say "Oh I'm not interested in getting all obsessive about it like you, I just want to take some really nice pictures on holiday, so can you write down which buttons I press".
Had same problem over Xmas when my fiend got a DSLR..... spent hours going thru real basic stuff and it finished up with her saying" Ahh, I'll just leave it on Auto then................... " Which of course is no bad thing!
You think to yourself nice bokeh just before you wipe that sleep from your eyes ![]()
You wear yellow lens sunglasses for that realtime 81b effect!
When your the only one NOT wearing sunglasses because the tinted lenses may give you incorrect colour information, hold on, that sky was pink a moment ago, oh, its the sunnies ![]()
When your the only person at a wedding (aside from official tog, most of the time.....) who does not get guests to say cheese!

A few years ago i needed some eye problem treated by a specialist at the Norfolk University Hospital, or whatever it is called now, and the doc had to get a good look into what was going on, to aid him he needed to add a droplet of some fluid into my eye to make whatever stand out more, he said i would have blurred vision for an hour or two, i did, i was alone and could not drive home afterwards, everything was a total blur, never mind bokeh, it was more like lensbaby vision for a while lol
