Zero Image Recovery. HELP!!!

Having used ZIR to recover photos from a friends card, I had a brainstorm about recovering some from an old card of mine. The programme froze after 9 minutes, locking up the computer completely - so completely that the cursor disappeared off the screen. I tried again with the same result.

Does anyone have any idea why this happens - especially to me?

I'm not paranoid, but .....

I had formatted the car in-camera, and have only taken one shot since then. ZAR recognised 120 or so files this last time before the aliens came round.
I'll format the card again and try again. Unfortunately I have to work late at nights and have just got in .
I did see some strange lights on the way home though.
Thanks for the reply and explanation anyway.

Thanks again for the tip, Chris. I got home before dark tonight and success!!

For anyone interested, I re-formatted the card and recovered all. Top marks to Zero Assumption.

(I'm glad they can't see in daylight)
