    From Sparklep. I did this and it was overexposed all the time. I tried all sorts of aperture. I took so many I gave up because it want happening. I put my ISO up and down to see what I was doing wrong.
    Did you have extra light.

    Try taking a picture without zoom to get the correct exposure first. You should even be able to work on automatic. make sure the shutter speed is slow. Then take a shot and zoom. It really is easy to do, the skill is the correct zoom speed for the time the shutter is open. And also choosing a window with interesting zoom potential.

    It is not so much to do with the iso ( although a lower may be required to obtain a slower shutter speed ) - it is exposure value! You may need to under expose the window to get detail. Try dialing -1.0 exposure compensation. Try using 'shutter' priority to keep the slowish speed.

    Probably best to shoot in the daytime when its light outside and the window looks bright too Wink
