Early days yet, Phil.
It is only Wednesday today, and they can't even get the forecast for tomorrow right most of the time.... Smile

Has it changed since you posted the link? It says 20% chance of a thunderstorm now.

Don't know what you mean about last year, was fine on the saturday Wink

...so long as we can avoid the dreaded 'white sky'!

It's not so much Saturday's weather that matters it's what happens during the next few days too, if the site gets waterlogged it may be cancelled again.
It's pouring down here at the moment, torrential.
Think I'll rent an underwater housing for my camera just in case Wink

I thought they had 'taken steps' to avoid the waterlogged car park issue.

Had light showers only in Oxford today and now blue skies so hoping the next few days are no worse.

Its always a gamble at this time of year but judging by the last couple of days we may get a shower or 2. Not necessarily a bad thing since it really helped the red arrows to stand out last year (It ALMOST rained then too) Grin

A shower or two can be useful in providing reflections in the static area (and cutting down dust). Captured some interesting shots in the past of airshow goers huddling under colourful brollies in the wet etc.

Personally speaking I think the Patrouille de France colour scheme looks better in overcast conditions than the Dead Sparrows' (the Patrouille de France has prettier aeroplanes too).

The black/light grey/white background cloud patterns caught me out in 2007 when trying to balance the exposure of the Thunderbirds. Must remember to mutiple expose.

I remember that one, I managed to bag a couple of good ones of the white thunderbirds against the dark clouds, but it is a exposure reversal of the normal scenario.

Not sure about multiple exposures. Are you shooting Jpeg or RAW? If Jpeg switching to RAW may give you the extra exposure latitude you need.

Well its sunny in Oxford and I am going to try and maintain a glass half full outlook until proven otherwise tomorrow.

It's cleared up quite considerably here now so fingers crossed it should be ok tomorrow.

Weather forecast for tomorrow isn't bad.
Only metcheck showing shower/rain from 10am - 12pm; otherwise, cloudy but dry.
