Hi All!!!!
Really busy with SATS marking and end of year paperwork at the mo', so many apologies for not being around (WATCH IT with those sighs of relief!!!) ![]()
I WILL catch up in a week or two, promise!
This is one from the Rowardennan meet, and most likely isn't to everyone's taste, but I really like the broody sky, the promise of some sunshine through the showers (believe me, it was few and far between up there this year!!) and the HUGE amount of spray from the full force of the River Coupal.
The river was so high the spray was almost touching the tops of the banks, and I just liked the effect, especially with the light streaming over the mountains and into the valley.
Anyway, let me know what you think, hope to get out and about in the 6 weeks from the 23rd July (Bring it on!!!)
Thanks for looking, hope you are not as busy as I am!!
Take care ![]()
Cheers!
Fran x
EDIT : Just realised that it's EXACTLY a year today since I took delivery of my very own Camera!!! ![]()

I'd hang it on my wall any day!
So many elements of nature. What a cracker Fran.

Really like the moodiness of this one Fran

If this doesn't get an award there is something wrong. Totally awestruck with it.
Perfect comp, the raw power of the water, plus spray (added bonus) superb mid ground and mountains showing the immensity of the place and that sky. simply beautiful Fran, you should be very proud of this.
Stew
Beautiful, moody image, love the spray and sky.
Sylvia
Kettles always on at our centre Fran!!
I'm sure there must be a good ranger left somewhere after all the government cutbacks ![]()

This is just awesome Fran.
What an amazing ca[ture.
The light streaming through the broken clouds, snow on the mountain tops, the spray from the rushing water.......I could go on, it's fanatastic.

Quote: Nice to see Emily in the Junior Gallery, Mark - - watch out!!!
Thanks Fran, it certainly is, she was using a compact digital but she dropped it on a rock at conwy and that was the end of it
So she has been using mine and Mands to take some shots. She hasnt stopped talking about epz since she uploaded her first shot yesterday. A budding togger
Thanks for the welcome note to her, she will be made up when she reads it in the morning.
Mark.
Fantastic image from the falls here, the spray is excellent as is the light coming down over Creise, a wonderful round the wrong way composition from here, spectacular work Fran, have a good holidays when they arrive.

Love the way you have caught the true wild atmosphere of the place - far stronger image than the "chocolate box" ones
Could have sworn I had commented on this image Fran. Sorry, its an age thing
I know Ive looked at it cos it reminded me on an oil painting.
Love that light thats coming out of that cloud and down onto the river.
This really does have a different and unique way about it and I love the effect.
Im not going to ask how you did the processing cos Im having enough trouble converting my RAWS (you could have warned me about the work involved Missy
) when I progressed from Jpegs lol ![]()
Hope your well.

Mist over the river makes for a very moody picture.
In June the rivers were almost dry.
