Hi everyone, the response to the group is a bit sad but anyway Here is info on the biggest country music festival in France, it takes place every year for 5 days in Mirande (Gers) and if you are holidaying in the area is well worth a visit. http://www.country-musique.com/

I'm in Ille-et-villaine (Dept No. 35) - about 40 minutes up the A84 Autoroute from Rennes. Nice to see others interested in this group. Bon courage.

i think that's good idea (both the challenge and onions). As our portofolios certainly reflect already a bit of France would be interesting to open it to all but that's personnal opinion only.

A monthly challenge restricted to photographs taken only on French soil?

Hi Everyone
As you see we are now 10 including Pete !( welcome Pete) who is living in France by proxy I presume Wink . However I'll take this chance to ask him for a list of members living over here, so I can PM them to propose they join us.. Thanks Pete !!
It would be nice , as people may be traveling around France this summer to make a list of main events in France , festivals etc. . We could then circulate it to the whole of EPZ as well as ourselves.
I will update the map as soon as a few more join.
A welcome Rob Freeman who doesn't except PM's so could you let me know what departement you live in. Also welcome to GDO and Ewanneil whom I have sent messages to for their dapartements.
Although these are early days, I would appreciate any ideas for the future of the group.
All the best .
Phill

Hope you don't mind me joining when I'm not yet fully resident in France. I've had a house in Louvigne du Desert (35) in Brittany for12 years now. Still trying to get my son to bugger off and let my wife and I move permanently. I'm hopeful that he'll be moving in with his girlfriend so we may be able to move soon. Happy to help with the group and participate in any other activities (location permitting).

Hi everybody
As I presume more will join. I will prepare a map to circulate so we can all see where we are, if any of you know other photographers, please ask them to join us , if we can get 100 or so we could probably do something, although my epz address is in England (basically to qualify for prize draws, that are sometimes restricted to the UK members) I have lived in Larmont near Toulouse for the past 10 years and before that was in Brussels for 25 years, working as a freelance advertising photographer.
I moved down here for the better weather and for the golf course in the area, also to get out of the stressfull life of advertising. I have spent the last 10 years rebuilding a 200 year old barn into a home, where I have recently started an auto entreprise doing the occasional photographic job. I have a small studio equiped with Elemental genisis flash and of course the inevitable Mac with P/S CS5. The studio has a kitchen and two double en suite bedrooms that I use once in a while for courses in studio work.
I hope we can get this group going and make it interesting ,for example by exchanging details of locations models, and events in our areas. etc.
Yours
Phill

Bonsoir.
I'm from Tours but have been living in England since September 1971 and Gloucestershire since 1976.
I miss the wine and rillettes from Chinon.

I'm living in Colombes, just NW of Paris. Most ePz French-based expats seem to be sunning it up in the south, but this group seems a good idea nonetheless.

Well, that's two of us! I think you'll find that we are all too far apart for a gathering, but we could use this to suggest photo locations and the like. Anyhow, I'm in Tourouzelle, known locally as the centre of the universe, about a half hour's drive from Carcassonne.
