They'll be coming right past us this year. I should make the effort and go up into the mountains but it gets sooo crowded up there. Still, there should be a few opportunities during the build up and then 15 secs worth of the race itself Smile
Every year we have a cycle race based in our village which gives you a better chance of getting a few shots in. The pros do a circuit round several villages and the whole affair lasts most of the day. Great fun. A few examples:

nice event, that's also the case near my village, some event is organized by group of vilalges arround and some other is organized by big clubs performing a big tour arround villages, that can bring some good opportunity to make some sport shots and mainly some activity in villages.
I was going to say that that look arround like my village in south east when i noticed on 1st shot the black T-shirt of 1st kid with advertsing for some garagst in 06 which is my department Smile)

Hi Gilles. Our village is right on the border of Aude and Herault. This event is quite a big one and I think it is part of the GP Cycliste so they come from all over the place, so yes he's probably from Aix.

if it's big one, i can imagine they come from lot of different places. That's nice, here in czech republic i don't see so much races which is paradox because biking is a national activity.

I've seen it Phill. I just thought it would be easier to discuss in the forum.
