A day's meet up in the Lake District...
Suggestion so far is to meet in Keswick, IN THE CAR PARK NEXT TO THE THEATRE BY THE LAKESIDE, AT 0730.
(The theatre's postcode is CA12 5DJ)
.. then we have Derwentwater, Castlerigg Stone Circle, Buttermere, Crummock Water, Bassenthwaite, Ashness Bridge, Watendlath all within reach.
Also - Lodore waterfalls.

Just a suggestion - may it be a more effective use of the day to move the location a few miles up the road to Keswick? That way we will have the opportunity to do some of the "Classic" Derwentwater shots, and the "Jaws of Borrowdale" will be just down the road, as will the famous Ashness Bridge.

Could someone please advise a place to stay as I may come up from London to the meet but would probably come up on the Friday and leave on the Monday am.
I see Petra16 has mentioned a youth hostel, am past the "youth" element, lol, but is it close to meet and can you stay a few nights? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

At the risk of being seen as a spoilsport or even a MeanGreeny I thought I'd raise the ugly subject of how to really annoy your fellow ePz'ers on a meet.
It's quite easy - all you have to do is fit your wide angle lens, run forward to your viewpoint of choice, plonk the tripod down and not look behind you.
If you did look behind you might find yourself gazing down the barrels of medium telephotos all pointed in your direction with frowns of annnoyance behind them.
With 40+ keen 'togs all jostling for that special shot, please be thoughtful of where you stand and, as a general rule, work your way in towards your subject being respectful of people who may be behind you.
A little tolerance, consideration and co-operation goes a long way to having a good day.
Unfortunately I can't make this meeting. My fiancée got very bad flu yesterday and is even worst this morning. It's look like that I will have to take her to hospital so won't be able to coming. I hope you'll get this mesage. I'm really sorry because I was looking forward so much.

Was great to meet finally meet some of you guys at the weekend! Really enjoyed it despite the at times somewhat inclement weather... Am loving the pictures uploaded so far, will try to put a couple of mine up at some point this week...Will need a little while as I've only just got home this evening!
