I've tried a couple of these shots and this looks really good, I agree that a crop could be interesting but in this shot it would be a shame to loose the wonderful roof shape and a crop to remove that would cut through the Capitol sign which is a signature part of the image.
If it was me and I was able to do so I'd make another trip back to the Capitol centre because there are so many different shots waiting to be found.
