More dramatic than brooding, Cliff. A strong antique/old postcard feel to it. I would maybe clone out those power lines, not a major niggle but would finish it off nicely.

Great range of tones and texture. My only crit would be the trees look a tad over-sharpened.

Very atmospheric and moody.A great subject for mono.
Didn't see the wires till I read Dave's comment, but I'd take them out too.

Nicely done dark image. Some detail apparent even in the darkest areas. I think a little boost in contrast might improve it. Some moire appearing in the roof tiles on viewing the larger image, but that would probably disappear on printing, with careful attention to print size? I'm wondering about the lighting. The topmost branches of the trees on both sides look like they have a little bit of haloing, but I'm not totally convinced that this image has been tonemapped. The border effect is very nicely carried out.
Alex.
