A little bit of research (I love saying that for using Google... ) reveals interesting information. This is the setting for the opening of Great Expectations, it's where Pip meets Magwitch.

Quote: ...in the churchyard is a row of 13 children's gravestones, measuring about 18 inches (46 cm) long; these have come to be known as "Pip's Graves"

Quote: In fact the Cooling graves belong to the children of two families, aged between 1 month and about a year and a half, who died in the late 18th and 19th centuries.

So much personal sadness... One attraction of graveyards for me is the direct link that they give with past lives.
